2020 Season Operations Update: April 18, 2020

Updated: Aug 9, 2021

Ramblewild Family & Friends,

We hope that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy during these uncertain and unprecedented times.

Today, under normal circumstances, we’d be celebrating opening day for the 2020 season. Given the state’s stay-at-home order along with non-essential business shut downs, this is unfortunately not the reality.  While the COVID-19 situation has been difficult for Ramblewild, we didn’t experience the immediate disruption like many other small businesses since we were closed for the winter.  Now, not only are we unable to open today, we are also forced to postpone the start of the season until further notice.

The situation has given us additional time to gather information, evaluate our options, and plan for the season.  However, timing is also one of our biggest challenges as circumstances continue to evolve and change on a daily basis.  Rather than speculating on a new opening date, we’re going to rely on milestones (lifting of stay-at-home orders) and other key indicators (CDC, state, and local authority guidance for non-essential businesses) to help develop a timeline.

In the meantime, we will continue to work with industry, business, state, and local resources to ensure operational compliance with CDC, social distancing, and group gathering guidelines.  As you’ve come to understand, the safety of our staff and guests has always been the number one priority at Ramblewild — you can be confident that we are equally focused on health and well-being as we prepare for the future.

It is next to impossible to predict the impact this will have on programming and activities at this time, but please understand that we are exploring every possible option available.  We are optimistic that we will open this season and, regardless of the circumstances, we look forward to sharing the Ramblewild experience with you.

For anyone with existing reservations, they remain subject to Ramblewild’s individual and group cancellation policies with one adjustment:  any credits issued in 2020 will be valid through the 2021 season.  Please note that while we are not in the office, we are still accepting new reservations for the summer online and available via email for questions (lodge@ramblewild.com).  You can book with confidence as these reservations are subject to the same terms.

Experiencing the outdoors with loved ones and friends, feeling a sense of connection to each other and to nature is the foundation of Ramblewild’s mission — we believe that this will be an important part of the recovery process for all of us.

We will provide additional updates via email, the website, and on social channels as soon as we have them.  Until then, keep safe and be well.

Best wishes from everyone at Ramblewild
